Wangaratta (2 Days)
Wangaratta has an abundance of things to see and do over a couple of days. For people who appreciate art there is the Wangaratta Exhibitions Gallery with consistently fresh exhibitions, while opportunities to enjoy nature include picnicking at the beautiful Paradise Falls or walking along the beautiful Murray River or other nearby trails such as the Mountain Rails Trail or bushwalking in Warby Range State Park.
You can experience the History of Australian Bushrangers by visiting the grave of "Mad Dog" Morgan in the Wangaratta Cemetery or admiring the view from Power's Lookout (off the Whitfield - Mansfield Rd) where Harry Power kept an eye out for approaching soldiers. Excellent displays of town history are viewable at Wangaratta Historical Museum and the Vine Hotel Cellar Museum.
