Port Fairy (1 Day)
Upon reaching Port Fairy you can then visit some of these features that you've seen by taking one of the guided tours on offer out of Port Fairy (snorkelling, scuba diving and boating). It is also possible to be taught to surf at one of the local beaches or to go for a round of golf at the Golf course. Within the town itself you can follow a heritage walk that shows off the National Trust classified buildings including, grand public buildings, fully restored white washed whaler's and seaman's cottages and Georgian style merchant houses. However, if shopping is more your style, Port Fairy can accommodate with its boutiques, galleries, gift shops, museums, cafes and restaurants.

Otherwise, why not relax and watch the bustle at the local fishing port (one of the busiest found in Victoria) as the days catch of abalone and crayfish is unloaded or perhaps join other anglers trying their luck at the port, the river or in the surf.
Some of the many natural attractions of the area include walking around Griffith Island, including the Griffith Island Lighthouse walk, and visiting the Tower Hill State Game Reserve to see the abundance of native wildlife.
These are some of the great destinations to see and things to do while exploring Port Fairy. Be sure to add them to your list of places to visit.
