Queensland (Qld) is a state of Australia in the north-east of continent. Brisbane is the capital, Ipswich, Logan City, and Toowoomba are major cities. The Gold Coast and Sunshine Coasts are areas with large populations and other regional centres include Bundaberg, Cairns, Mackay, Mount Isa, Rockhampton and Townsville. The Coral Sea and Pacific Ocean are on the East and the Gulf of Carpentaria borders the North West. It is a great place to go caravanning or camping, in a Caravan, Campervan, Motorhome or Winnebago.

Qld is Australia's second largest in area, and has the third largest population of over 4 million
, who enjoy living in the "Sunshine State" with warm tropical weather. Despite the mostly tropical conditions, recorded temperatures vary from -11°C to 49+°C across the state.

Secondary industries include processing of primary produce of all kinds. Tourism and an expanding aerospace sector are major Tertiary industries.

Queensland has a very varied landscape.  There are great plains divided high country to the east and north-west. The far north-west is a rugged uplands regions. The Great Dividing Range on the Eastern side runs from the Southern border to the Northern extremity of the state. It is the source of many coastal and inland rivers.

There is a chain of mountainous offshore islands and then the Great Barrier Reef, about 2000 km long.

Mostly untouched beaches and rainforests can be found in areas North and South of Brisbane. The Gold Coast is south of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast is further South.

Western (Outback) Queensland has vast expanses where cattle graze on the tough terrain. Eastern and highland areas have agricultural regions with good pasture and great conditions for Agriculture.

The Highest point is Mt. Bartle Frere, 1,622 m.
