Apollo Bay - Port Fairy (1 Day)
Next stop is Port Fairy, via the Great Ocean Road, but as you travel make sure you stop to view the spectacular natural rock formations of the Twelve Apostles and other coastal features such as Loch Ard Gorge, the Gibson Steps and the Bay of Islands and Port Campbell National Park. As you travel you can follow the Shipwreck Trail and see the final resting places of dozens of ships and read informative plaques telling of their history and tragedy.

Of course, if you'd rather a more active approach to viewing the surf you can always enjoy big-wave surfing at Two Mile Bay.
Before reaching Port Fairy the town of Warnambool beckons to visitors. The re-created nineteenth century port Flagstaff Hill brings the Shipwreck Coast's maritime history to life while Lake Pertobe adventure playground provides a fun time for the family to play. A more contemplative moment could perhaps be found at the Warnambool Botanic Gardens, Fletcher Jones Gardens or the Warnambool Art Gallery.
These are some of the great destinations to see and things to do while travelling between Apollo Bay and Port Fairy. Be sure to add them to your list of places to visit.
